Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Flet PKG ("the App", "we", "us", or "our"), published by Mulberry Technology, collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Flet PKG application on Android, iOS, or the web.

Flet PKG is a package discovery tool for the Flet ecosystem. It lets you browse, search, and explore open-source Flet packages and extensions. The App does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information to use it.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

Summary​

  • We do not ask you to sign in and we do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, messages, or files.
  • The App shows advertising provided by Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google's advertising SDK collects a device advertising identifier and an approximate location (derived from your IP address).
  • The App fetches publicly available data from third-party services (GitHub, PyPI, and related public APIs) so it can display package information. These are standard, anonymous read requests.
  • All network communication uses encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

Information We Collect​

Information you provide​

None. Flet PKG has no sign-up, login, or user profile. We do not collect any information that you actively provide.

Information collected automatically for advertising​

Flet PKG displays banner ads through Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). When ads are served, Google may collect and process:

  • Device or other identifiers — including the device advertising ID, used to serve and measure ads and to limit invalid traffic.
  • Approximate location — inferred from your IP address, used for ad relevance and fraud prevention.

This data is collected by Google's SDK embedded in the App and is shared with Google acting as an independent advertising provider. It is used for the purposes of advertising and marketing, analytics, personalization, and security/fraud prevention.

Information requested from third-party services​

To display package information, the App sends anonymous read-only requests to public services, including:

  • GitHub API — repository metadata (stars, topics, descriptions).
  • PyPI / PyPIStats — package metadata and download statistics.
  • ClickHouse public demo dataset — aggregate download metrics.

These requests retrieve public information about software packages and do not include any personal account data about you.

Local data on your device​

The App stores a local cache of package data on your device to improve performance and enable offline browsing. This cache contains only public package information — never personal data — and can be cleared at any time by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App.

How We Use Information​

The limited data described above is used only to:

  • Display and measure advertising.
  • Keep advertising relevant and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • Retrieve and display public package information.
  • Improve performance through local caching.

We do not sell your personal data.

Advertising and Your Choices​

Flet PKG uses Google AdMob. By default, ads may be personalized. You can control ad personalization and your advertising identifier:

  • Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalization.
  • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising.

Data Sharing​

We share data only with:

  • Google (AdMob) — for advertising, as described above.

We do not share data with any other third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Data Retention and Deletion​

Because the App keeps no user accounts and stores no personal data on our own servers, there is no personal profile for us to retain or delete.

  • The advertising identifier is managed by your device's operating system and by Google. You can reset or delete it at any time using the device settings described above.
  • The local cache lives only on your device and is removed when you clear the App's storage or uninstall the App.

Your Privacy Rights​

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the Brazilian LGPD, the European GDPR, or the CCPA/CPRA in California — including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data and to object to certain processing.

Since we do not maintain personal data under our control, most requests relate to the advertising identifier managed by Google. You can exercise these controls through the device and Google ad settings above, or contact us using the details below and we will assist where applicable.

Children's Privacy​

Flet PKG is a tool intended for software developers and is not directed to children. Our target audience is 16 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Security​

All communication between the App and external services uses encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS). While no method of transmission is completely secure, we rely on industry-standard protections.

International Data Transfers​

Advertising data processed by Google may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, in accordance with Google's privacy practices and applicable safeguards.

Changes to This Policy​

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes may be announced within the App or on this page.
